New Horizon Behavioral Health is an outpatient mental health practice in West Hartford, Connecticut. Therapy, psychiatric medication management, and Spravato® treatment, for adults, in one office and one record.
Starting care should feel understandable. We bring therapy and psychiatric treatment together so you can discuss your needs and follow a coordinated plan.
Managing appointments and explaining your history to different clinicians can take effort, especially when you are already struggling. We aim to make those conversations easier by coordinating the care you receive here.
Therapy, medication management and Spravato treatment are available in one practice. When you see both a therapist and a prescriber here, they share a record and coordinate your plan. We also discuss referrals when another service would better meet your needs.

Your prescriber explains why a medication is being considered, the benefits and side effects to watch for, and when to review your response. Questions and concerns are welcome throughout treatment.

The office helps check benefits, handles required prior authorizations for care here, and discusses expected costs before scheduling. Coverage and final charges depend on your plan.
When previous depression treatments have not helped enough, we review the history and discuss appropriate options. Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression in adults and is provided in a certified healthcare setting.
Eligible patients receive Spravato here under supervision, with monitoring for at least two hours after each dose. An evaluation determines whether it is a suitable option.

All appointments take place in person at our West Hartford office. We do not offer telehealth.
